Madden's No1 provide Barn Dances and Ceilidhs for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries family parties or corporate events
The band, each experienced musicians from varied backgrounds such as jazz, jazz fusion, progressive rock and, of course, traditional English music.
Madden's second visit, we can’t wait for their third visit next year

“Thank you to Madden’s No 1 Barn Dance Band. We booked them again for our volunteers social night because after the first night no-one stopped talking about it. 170 of us gathered and the 2nd time was even better than the first. We can’t wait until next year. Not only is the music great, well played and not too loud – but the caller/MC makes sure everyone, young and old can take part – he is great. Thank you Madden’s! Don’t even try the rest – just try Madden’s!”

"...the band provided an evening that got everyone involved”

“...which covered an age range from babies to age 90+. It was an excellent way of entertaining such a broad range of ages."

"...in that it might involve the removal of some garments!!”

Many thanks again to you, the band and your caller for providing a fantastic evening’s entertainment. I think all the guests apart from those unable through age/health reasons partook in a least one dance. I had a few comments from lady guests that it was very unusual to get their husbands/partners to dance with them on such occasions but you obviously succeeded where others have failed. We met up with my brother and his American wife the day after. She commented that she was a little unsure about the last dance (Strip the Willow) in that it might involve some removal of some garments!!
I hope you found us a willing and at times amusing group to play for.
I hope the best compliment to pay is that you left us wanting to do it again.”
Kind regards
Ian Williamson
